Notes for Paris travel
If you have planned your Paris trip with our Paris Travel Guide, it is time to clarify your accommodation… First, we will discuss which neighborhood of Paris should you stay in. After getting to know the neighborhoods, we will help you find the hotel that best suits your budget and mood in the location you choose. Here you can find the best Paris hotels for different budgets.
Central and Touristic, But Expensive: The 1st district of Paris is both the most central and the most touristic, as it is close to all the places you will visit. Being central is of course an advantage, but there are no affordable options here. You can expect to find more luxurious hotels in the 7th district with the Eiffel Tower and the 8th district with the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysée as they are also the most central and touristic spots.
Our Favorite Areas to Stay in Paris: Our favorite place to stay in Paris is Le Marais, which covers the 3rd and 4th districts. This is the neighborhood of Paris where you can experience the bohemian, hip, youthful face, full of delightful art galleries, boutique shops, fine restaurants and trendy bars. It is not in the heart of the touristic areas as much as the first district, but it is still one of the most central districts of the city.
Not Our Favorite Areas, But Areas of Paris that Are Relatively Affordable for Accommodation:
If your priority is budget, pay attention to the fact that your hotel is close to the metro, not the center of your neighborhood. Because the network of the Paris metro is already very wide, once the metro is at your feet, you can easily reach everywhere.
– The Latin Quarter, the 5th district of Paris, is one of the more suitable options for accommodation, as it is a student district similar to Beşiktaş or Kadıköy in Paris.
As an alternative to it, Montmartre, which forms the 18th district, Pigalle, the part of the 9th district bordering with Montmartre, and the vicinity of Clichy Square in the 17th district are also affordable, hip and lively areas of Paris for accommodation.
Plaza Athénée is located in the 8th district, on Avenue Montaigne, which we can call perhaps the most luxurious street in Paris, which has left even the Champs Elysée uninspired. This hotel is one of the most photographed hotels in the world, not just in Paris, by influencers. The fact that it is both stylish and cool and with a view of the Eiffel Tower makes it one step ahead. The hotel dated 1911 is quite a luxury option, so consider it only if you're on a honeymoon.
It is a very elegant accommodation option with its Parisian style and Art-Deco style. The most famous feature of the hotel is its rooms with French balconies, which have a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower, none of which are the same as decoration, and its iconic courtyard with a red awning called “Le Cour Jardin” as you can see in the photo. A very luxurious 5-star hotel option, located in the 8th district, the most luxurious district of Paris, on Avenue George V, where the most famous fashion houses are lined, from which it is named. The Art Deco style hotel was opened in 1928 and was named after King George V of England as a reference to the good relations between England and France at that time. Reopened as a Four Seasons hotel in 1999, the hotel now serves with 244 rooms.
It is filled with flamboyant period furniture, artwork, crystal chandeliers, 17th century tapestries and seasonally changing flower arrangements. It has an indoor pool, fitness center, first-class spa, hamman, jacuzzi. The biggest trump card of the hotel is the gastronomic possibilities. There are 3 restaurants with a total of 5 Michelin stars, one of which is 3-star Le Cinq. Le Cinq's chef, Christian Le Squer, offers a selection of classic French cuisine inspired by his Breton roots. Suitable for those who are considering honeymoon. The Arc de Triomphe and the George V metro station (line 1) are a five-minute walk away. Click to review the hotel in detail and make a reservation. Number 2 on the map.
